Hobbiton
As soon as she found out we were going to New Zealand, my dear friend, Tess, implored me to visit Hobbiton. So we did. I last watched Lord of the Rings many moons ago and I can't say I was the biggest fan. However, as a child my father and I read The Hobbit together and so to refresh my memory I watched the latest Hobbit film before I embarked on the set tour. And I have to say I really rather loved it.
It was a beautiful day for gallivanting around the New Zealand countryside and popping in and out of Hobbit holes. I may not be a super mental crazy fan but it was utterly adorable, fascinating and at 5 ft 1 1/2 inches (that half an inch is extremely important) I was basically going back to the Motherland.
As the tour came to a close we rested up with a cool cider at the Green Dragon.
Sadly, all good things come to an end and we had to make our way back home.
If anyone is willing to build me a little hobbit hole to live in, just drop me a line.
