Fergburger
Walking around Queenstown, we noticed that
Fergburger was always bustling. We walked past it several times and each time
there were more and more people queuing up to get in – always a good sign. We simply had to give it a try.
You go up to the counter, order your burger
and wait for your name to be called.
You’re handed your burger in a brown paper
bag and left to find a seat.
The place is tiny with only a handful of
tables inside and out so be prepared to make new friends.
The burgers themselves are delicious. I
went for the Southern Swine – a beef patty with American Streaky bacon and
avocado. Cat plumped for the Sweet Bambi – Wild Fiordland Deer with Thai plum chutney.
(Sorry for the poor quality photos, I couldn’t wait to get my chops round it)
The buns were big and fluffy but sturdy
enough not to turn into a mushy mess. The amount of salad was just right and
encased the meat helping to stop the bun from getting soggy.
The burgers were huge and enough to fill me
up to the top but the sides sounded delicious so go with a big appetite!
Hope you enjoy it as much as we clearly did!
