Viet Hoa
To celebrate Natalie’s first night in Perth
and to mourn her leaving Adelaide for the last time, we went for a Vietnamese
feast!
Nicki, a Perth local, had recommended Viet Hoa and noticing
it was always rammed full of people we knew it was the place to go. After a
short wait we were seated ready for an epic amount of food to be brought along.
We started with spring rolls which were
some of the best we’d ever had. So good in fact that we ordered a second plate.
For the main we shared fried rice which was
very tasty but frustratingly hard to eat with chopsticks. But then again, it
made us work for our food. They say if you eat slowly you’ll consume less
calories and when you’re eating a grain of rice a minute that’s probably true!
The rest of it probably didn’t help the
calorie intake though as we dug into sweet and sour chicken.
And BBQ Pork Wanton Noodle Soup on Nicki’s
recommendation.
It was all absolutely delicious!
This place is pretty unassuming and probably wouldn't garner a second glance as you wander around Northbridge but it is an absolute must if you’re about. They
are open 10am - 10pm 7 days a week, you can find them at 349 William Street and don't forget to BYO!
