Art Gallery of Western Australia

If you've seen my recently incessant Insta feed, you will know that I spent an afternoon at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

I grabbed my camera and took some cheeky snaps of some of my faves to give you a little taster of what it’s like.

Born in this skin by Vernon Ah Kee. (2008)

Chelsea by Arthur Streeton (1905).

Portrait of Philip Connard by George Bell (1914).

Wet evening, George Street, Sydney by Albert Henry Fullwood (1889).

A wet day, George Street by Julian Ashton (1903)

Snow scene, Valmondois by Charles Daubigny (1875)

No object implies the existence of any other (Hume’s mirror) by Ian Burn (1967)

Colour Theory by Richard Bell (2012)

After a few hours of culture, I stopped at the cafĂ© to fill my tum. I plumped for the chicken salad – a mix of marinated chicken, lentils and sundried tomatoes. Delicious!

Not fully satisfied, I treated myself to a hunk of gooey chocolate brownie. Little pig.

It’s the perfect place to while away an afternoon. Take a sketchbook, your culture loving girlfriends or the littlies and grab an activity pack on the way in. You can find all their details over on their website.
